the World Watch Market is Set To Reach Thirty One Billion Dollars.
In 2009 the global time piece market saw a steep decline due to the
recession and economic turmoil of the market. However with demand for
luxury time pieces in third world countries on the rise the market is
expected to soon rebound according to analysts. The combination for
the growing market place for inexpensive low end luxury watches and
the fact that watch manufacturers are starting to respond to this
market should cause further growth in the luxury time piece market.
Europe which is the largest market for luxury time pieces and clocks
was heavily affected by the recession. According to reports there was
a large change in consumer perspectives over the purchases of luxury
watches in Europe. Reports indicated that buyers are now trending to
favor lower price luxury watches with plastic watches gaining in
performance over the classic luxury watches.
With new innovations in the watch industry lowering the manufacturing
cost of watches this is expected to fuel new purchasing of luxury time
pieces also adding to the rebound in the industry according to
analysts. Luxury watches are expected to post growth through 2015.

It does surprise me a little. I love watches, but most people I know just use their cell phones to keep track of time. Apparently there are more watch aficionados out there than I realized.

People have always been fascinated by watches. New designs and new technologies are being developed as the days go by. I think the watch-making industry will be around for a very, very long time and the watch market will continue to boom.

I am surprised the watch market is going to hit thirty one billion dollars. I guess I'm surprised because, I am not use to seeing such a enormous number! It makes since that the watch industry is booming. Time is something that has always been around, and something man has always taken an interest in. Once someone figured out how to "capture" time, someone else will forever try to improve it.

This is what I was thinking while reading the first post. I thought people have migrated to cellphones when checking their time.

I would move away a bit from the topic for I would talk about stocks. Is it a good time to buy stocks on watches with this report that we have?

Wow that is incredible. Where did you hear this at? The only thing I can think of is that some watches can go for a pretty big price and that accounts for the huge amount o money being made in the watch world.
