Swiss Brands Made In Other Countries
I know it is possible that Swiss watch companies can manufacture their watches from other countries. I wonder though if these watches are still considered as Swiss watches if the parts and the way it has been done is Swiss but the location where it was made was from another country.

RE: Swiss Brands Made In Other Countries
I sometimes worry when I see people advertising slashes prices on vintage watches, who is to say its not stolen? Would you really want to take that chance?

It depends on who you talk to. I know some people that refuse to buy anything outside of the originating country and I can kind of understand that with tons of watch fraud out there going on.

Indeed, there are tons of watch fraud taking place and it is perfectly understood if someone becomes extra cautious. I would also be a bit skeptical about any price slash on a vintage watch.

I guess this depends on the customer's preference. It is like choosing a Nokia cellphone that was made in China and Finland. Even though both cellphones have the same name and functions, you will still want to have the cellphone that was made in Finland as you are sure of its quality. This is also applicable to Swiss watches.

RE: Swiss Brands Made In Other Countries
For me, I don't know whether the watch or the parts of the watch have originated from Switzerland. As long as I buy original products which claims that they are Swiss made then that will good for me. I don't have the time to check whether the watch I bought was assembled from another country or not.

Yes, if that is the situation, they are still Swiss |
