Making Something New
I over heard a woman at the jewelry store the other day taking an old watch and having it removed from the band to be placed on a necklace. I thought this was just a really cool idea. I don't know for sure if it was vintage but it looked like it from the quick glance that I got.

It is always neat to repurpose old items and I bet the necklace looked really nice. If it were me, though, I'd make sure the watch wasn't valuable before doing something like that.

Very interesting idea! I actually have a vintage set, that you take the watch face, and attach it to a necklace. I wonder how much making a watch into a necklace costs?

That is interesting. I guess making the watch look new will make the necklace more beautiful. Now it makes me wonder how to make an old watch look new again.

That is really unique. Do you have a specific chain that you have to put it onto or does it have a round piece where you can slide it onto any?

I am thinking that the lady must have had some issue with wearing a watch. Maybe it irritated her to wear one so she had it made into a necklace. This is at least my little theory.

This is a cool idea. I am assuming it would cost some substantial amount to get this masterpiece. I also think I would make sure the watch did not have so much value after all.

RE: Making Something New
I don't think this is something I would want to do. I don't like messing with vintage anything. I would prefer to restore it to as close to original as possible.
