Tressa Watches - Most Underrated ?

What would anyone say are the most underrated watches - as in quality swiss watches ?

I've had a few Tressa watches in my time and thought they really have a similar look and feel to them as Omega watches, especially some of the stainless steel mens watches...but in my view Tressa watches are very underrated, you can pick them up on internet auctions sometimes for £20-£40 for a good automatic day/date which is a snip for a vintage swiss watch.

Yes, I've had a Tressa once, I agree some models are similar to some older 1970 ish Omega's, I did wonder if omega or a branch of omega made them at one stage but couldnt find any info on them. the price you can get these for is well worth it, I'd rather have a vintage automatic swiss watch than a new quartz watch.

Well when you consider what £20-£40 quid can buy you in the shop for a watch then its well worth buying a good second hand swiss watch. You can even pick up good second hand rolex watches for like £150 -£250 online and broken ones even cheaper but then they may cost a bit to repair so its a gamble... but if you do bid for one online then whatever you do please ensure 100% that it is the real deal and make sure you know what you are doing...although the new eBay feedback system and payment witholding does make life a bit easier for buyers now, as I've had plenty of problems over the years receiving fake watches...paypal disputes ect.

Ok thanks for your replies - although it seems a few people picked up on what I said and the price of Tressa watches seems to be climbing a bit - especially for the automatics - wonder if its a result of this posting or just other people thinking the same as I did, that they are a great buy at the prices they were going for !

I've never had a Tressa, but thanks for the tip. I do like old Omegas, so I would probably like the Tressa too. Hopefully prices haven't climbed too high since you posted!
